Introducing our family of 6

We are the Rodriguez/Clayton Family.

Jorge (Dad), Michelle (Mom), Abigail (10), Emily (8), Jessica (7) & Sophia (3) and our newly adopted Bella (6mth old Lab/Retriever mix).

Currently known as the Flower Guy, Soon to be known as 5 Chicks, a Dude, and a Dog!

We are currently living in our sticks & bricks (roadies phrase for house) in South Florida, known as the Sunshine State. But we are preparing ourselves to hit the road within the next year and join the masses of people living on the road fulltime (yes believe it or not there are LOTS of families doing this).

We plan on renting out our house, getting rid of most of our personal belongings and buying some sort of Travel trailer or fifth wheel (yet to be determined, although we have some ideas), and a truck to pull the RV (recreational vehicle for the newbies to this travel jargon).

Our dream is to not be owned or overwhelmed by our stuff, to be liberated from the ties that hold us in one place and enjoy the freedom of being on the road. We want to experience & put into practice “Less Equals More”. We are ready and excited for the adventure & journey that lies ahead.

The hardest part is WAITING for everything to finalize and fall into place, we are eager to leave NOW!

We have started the process, so far we have sold the In-laws house, traded Jorge’s 15 passenger van for a smaller more economical car for now and we have been purging (getting rid of as much as we can) on an almost daily basis.

Thanks to the FB groups of other Families On The Road, we are learning tons of useful information and connecting with other Families already doing it, and look forward to meeting them somewhere on the road.

We have always had the travel bug, both Jorge & I were Flight Attendants before we had the girls. In fact we both wanted to be Flight Attendants before we had even been on a plane! So I guess it’s not so crazy that we want to hit the road in an RV having never been in one before!

Well, I hope you will follow along with us on our Journey as we plan and prepare in the next year and get to know us a little better in the mean time.

We hope to inspire others to follow their Dreams and make them a Reality. Life is for LIVING, it will be over before you know it so make the most of it EVERYDAY
